Today was the first of our monthly visits with the CF team. We arrived early to get a chest x-ray. We won't need to do this everytime, but with Jeb's recent infections we wanted to make sure it was clear. Dr. Holt brought the X-ray up on the computer - first the one from November 2007 and then from November 2008. Both very spotty. But the one from today brought tears to my eyes - crystal clear! No sign of infection and it looks perfectly normal. We are going to keep it that way!
Kerry, the nurse, took your weight - 19lbs 13 oz. Kerry said that last week we were at 8 kilos (18 lbs!), so this week's huge appetite has helped a ton. Nearly 30 inches for height too. We are so excited.
Dr. Holt checked your lungs and your oxygen levels which were at 100%. She also introduced us to the new dr (Dr. Early) who will be taking over for her over maternity leave. We are sad to see Dr. Holt go, but hopefully the new dr is just as great.
Finally, Bianca, the dietician, stopped in. She is happy with your weight gain, but prescribed Pediasure to give you a little extra calories. So, next month we'll see how much of an impact it makes.
