Yesterday was another CF clinic appointment for Jeb, but a little different this time as we got to meet with Dr. Thompson. She is the head of the CF clinic at Oxford and is in charge of the drs overseeing Jeb at our local hospital. What a breath of fresh air! She walked in and instantly Tom and I knew that Jeb would flourish under her care. After answering a few of our questions, she took a look at Jeb. Lungs clear even though he is just getting over his cold and saturations at 98. The best thing is that Jeb has gained weight again at 21 lbs, 9 oz (10th percentile!). This is huge given that he hasn't been on medication for his digestive system. I think it might be just a case of drinking more milk! Plus all the butter he's been getting on everything!
We were also prepared to discuss the issue of the boys testing being refused by the lab. I had my arguments all in order. No need. Dr. Thompson simply said it's taken care of and will be done in a week. We seriously love this woman! We then eluded that we'd like to always see her at Oxford, but we were told no because she will be at our local hospital more often due to our regular dr. being on maternity leave. How great!
So, we will continue to do what we have been doing and praise God for our healthy boy!
